>From your configs, R4 is only peering with R5; R4 is not originating any route and it is not a transit ASN (passing on routes from another AS to R5), so a 'show ip bgp' will not show any route with AS400 in it path.

OSPF does not require devices to be on the same subnet to establish adjacency, so it should work fine. ...
