PAT’ng in 12.4

Hey guys, Is there anything different with PAT’ng in the 12.4 IOS versions ? With our configurations copied from a router with a 12.2 or 12.3 IOS to a 12.4 it doesn’t work

Hey Hash, As per jac email, the clients are on R1, congestion is on R2 WAN link (traffic going/returning towards clients on R1) and you CANNOT do priority inbound.

Q. on OSPF cost settings on interfaces with different speeds

Hi Sabrina,
My understanding is that cost (or bandwidth) is local to that router for that interface. Yes there are cases where you want to adjust the cost on both side (not necessarily the same) so that the link is less or more preferred than another redundant link.

Did you read through all four of the cases in the white paper from our website? We also included verifications for each of the cases. You should be looking at the last case as the first three cases show common misconfigurations.
