Special Vlans - should or should NOT include
No no…I completely agree.
Nikolay:
When in doubt always go by the stated objective (or ask the proctor but he might kick for this one). In this case ask yourself - “Self, am I using VLAN 1? Am I using VLANs 1002-1005?” If the answer is “NO” then don’t allow them. If for some very strange reason you happen to be using them then of course you probably should allow them over the trunk.
Bottom line: do what the requirement states. Don’t make it any harder than it has to be.

I think you shouldn’t use them. Why would you want to though? VTP and STP traffic will get forwarded anyway and token ring and fddi vlans are not really needed
Please let me know if somebody thinks different on this one

Dear all,
I have a doubt about when the task requires to allow only the used vlans over the trunk link(s), should I include also vlan 1 and vlans from 1002 - 1005. Do we really need them.
Thanks Nick
